Design of Sealing and Cleaning Procedures for Ambulance Medical Compartments

Ambulance interiors require cleaning and disinfection after every call. Surface cleanability and seam design directly impact daily maintenance efficiency.
The floor typically uses seamless materials to minimize joints. Transition areas between cabinetry and bulkheads feature rounded edges for easy cleaning. Equipment installation locations must provide clearance for wiping, avoiding tight contact with bulkheads that creates hard-to-reach corners.
Seal design also covers windows, doors, and cable grommets. The sealing of the rear door weatherstrip, side windows, and wire harness passages determines whether water will leak during rinsing. A water spray test must be performed after modification to confirm no leaks before delivery.
For the cleaning process, we recommend verifying consumables and cleaning methods during acceptance by the user. Clearly specify which surfaces are suitable for chlorine-based disinfectants and which require neutral cleaners to prevent material degradation from prolonged use.
